This year we must become more deeply involved in the fight against Socialism. Georgia Tea Party’s 2010 strategy is designed to renew our voices in government. Five key areas have been identified: recruitment, training, networking, events/fundraising and communication. Take a look at the programs, decide which ones you feel most comfortable with, then put your back into it.
Recruitment
- Strategic Outreach – Reach out to demographic groups whom we think are under-represented in the tea party movement
- Community Involvement - Extend our reach into individual neighborhoods to get our message beyond those more active in the tea party movement
- Precinct Committeeman - Fill empty precinct positions with conservatives who participate in the election of conservative nominees to run for office
- Membership – Recruitment of new members and communication with existing members
Training
- Constitutional Education - Increase understanding of the U.S. Constitution
Networking
- Strategic Alliance – Develop alliances with individuals and groups that support our mission
- Guest Speaker – Develop a network of speakers for our volunteer meetings and events
Events/Fundraising
- Movie Series – Educate the public on critical issues related to our mission through public showings of films
- Tea Party – Educate the public on critical issues related to our mission through public events, and raise operating funds
- Fund Raising – Raise operating funds for GTPI
Communications
- Gold Dome – Train and activate citizen advocacy
- Strategic Voice – Target legislators to influence decisions
- Public Relations – Communicate issues and events to the media to obtain broad coverage and extend GTPI’s reach into communities
Get Involved!
If you do not get involved with your government, they will most assuredly get involved with you. This is a crucial year with much to get done. Volunteers are the driving force behind this strategy and are crucial to the development and implementation of these strategic programs.
If you haven’t signed up to work on a program, you can still do so at any volunteer meeting or go to the “Get Involved” link on this website.
