Since the historic Tea Party of April 15, 2009 where a groundswell of people all over the country protested the governments abuses of out of control spending and overtation, many have asked, “What’s next?”.   Now is the time to get educated and take action.

Our purpose is to empower you with knowledge about the Constitution and to provide education about each American’s civic obligation to be engaged in the political process.  We can no longer sit on the sidelines when our Representatives and Senators are voting on bills that they have not even read.  Your country needs you.  We the People must stand together.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

1) TURN OFF THE TV: Seek alternative sources like talk radio and the Internet to get an unfiltered view of news, information and opinions.

2) GET EDUCATED about the Constitution and the proper form of limited government it provides by reading:

a. United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights

b. Common Sense: Revisited, you can download it free at http://www.commonsenserevisited.com

c. The 5000 Year Leap, order it at www.nccs.net

d. The Law by Frederic Bastiat at www.bastiat.org/en/the_law.html

3) Join A Grassroots Organization: Go to Americans for Prosperity at www.AmericansForProsperity.org.  See our sponsor page for a list of other grassroots organizations.

4) BECOME AWARE: Get on an email list and follow legislative, executive, and judicial decisions. Visit www.thepeopledecide.us and www.washingtonwatch.com. Find out what’s in these hundred- page/thousand-page Bills that our Congressmen are not reading but voting on.  If the legislation is outside the authority granted by the Constitution, it should be voted against. Promised transparency of new bills is being ignored.

5) CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES: Put your Congressmen and Senators phone on speed dial of your cell phone.  Call and fax them frequently with your position on all new bills. Inform them you are watching their individual votes and will hold them accountable. Use www.house.gov to find your Representatives, and www.senate.gov for your Senators.

6) HOLD THEM TO THEIR OATH:  your representative and senators declared an oath to protect, defend and preserve the Constitution.  We must hold them to their oath or vote them out of office.

7) FOLLOW THE MONEY: Where’s the money going?  Visit www.stimuluswatch.org

8) AFFIRM THE 10th AMENDMENT: Ask your State Representative and Senator’s position on State Sovereignty as protected under the 10th Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

9) SHARE THE MESSAGE: Tell your friends, family and acquaintances about our empowerment group and invite them to join with you.

JOIN The Georgia Tea Party AND BE EMPOWERED!

The Constitution is We the People’s contract with the government.  Its purpose is to limit the

powers of the federal government and keep them in check.   If We the People don’t hold them to the Constitution, they will usurp our rights, and then WE become servants of the government.
